The Stittsville 56ers won one and lost one in the GOFL doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night.In the first game, Stittsville defeated Barrhaven Broadway Blues 9-5. Darren Featherstone had the win while Trevor Lahey took the loss.
For the night cap, the Ottawa Blitz came from behind to beat the 56ers 11-6. Marcel Mondoux provides this recap:
The Blitz came back from being down 5-0 after 2 1/2 innings to score 5 in the bottom of the third to tie it. Stittsville went up 1 in the 4th until the Blitz scored 4 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to end up with an 11-6 win.
