ATTENTION ALL FEMALE HOUSE LEAGUE SELECT TEAMS IN ONTARIOTORONTO, ONTARIO- The Provincial Women’s Softball Association (PWSA) is excited to offer another year of exceptional Provincial Championships for our female House League Select Teams. We’ve listened to our teams, made their suggested changes and we are looking forward to a highly successful year.
Female teams from Mite through Midget can be admitted to their appropriate tournament following certain eligibility requirements which are changing this year based on your comments from previous years.
Our Provincial Championship Fastpitch House League Select Tournaments are being held simultaneously on the weekend of August 20-21, 2011.
Each team is guaranteed three games, one of which will be played on Sunday, making this a true weekend tournament. According to our players, they love to have a weekend away, play a little ball, make new friends, establish old friendships and have a lot of fun.
All important documents and information can be found on our website www.ontariopwsa.com under the tabs Competition/House League. You will find that the deadline for registering your team is midnight, July 24th, 2011 to your respective divisional coordinator (see the website registration form) to reserve your spot in the tournament. All documents, including proof of insurance, registration form and waiver/sign-in must be submitted in hard-copy format, along with the $340 fee. The waiver is an excel spreadsheet (8.5 x 14, legal) which can be filled in with all the applicable information, and then printed for signature purposes. The waiver must be signed by all participants, including players and coaches. In addition, each minor player, not yet 18, must have a parent or guardian sign the form.
We are well on the way to reaching our maximum teams for a couple of the tournaments. Please don’t disappoint your team by not making the deadline.
PWSA is in the process of finalizing our Mite location and, once done, we will let you know the details.

Softball Canada and Softball Ontario has designated The Provincial Women’s Softball Association (PWSA) as the governing provincial body for women’s softball in Ontario. This designation gives us the authority to offer Provincial Championships for our elite teams and our House League Select teams.
